I was trying to quickly update Jellyfin to the latest version (v10.8.10) from v10.7.7. I stopped the server before launching the Windows installer (on Windows10 os) but it gave an error message (can't remember exactly what) that made me think to abort and exit the system tray and retry. It reported it was updated/installed successfully.
I was able to sign into the webUI but nothing happened when I clicked on a folder or movie. It did allow me into the Dashboard, but again would not respond to clicks to move within the dashboard.
After that I had a bit of trouble trying to reinstall which resulted in uninstalling everything, rebooting, reinstalling. Now in the webUI (localhost url), my computer's name shows up when it asks me to select a server but on clicking it says “We are unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again.”
System tray says JF is running, what step am I missing? And when do I try to import my settings/users/etc from my backed-up v10.7.7 Server files? Will that help it connect to my server? (and do I paste that whole Server folder or just specific folders inside the Server folder?)
