I recently installed Jellyfin to replace Synology Videos ( sorry I have little knowledge on the app )

Twice now when I have been away overseas - it has needed updates - and I have been unable to access my Video Clips

It tells you it needs an update when you open the APP

However I cannot login to update it until I return to the UK

How can I set up Jellyfin so I can update it anywhere when overseas please

    Regards

If you want access to your Synology NAS while you're not at home, you're going to need to install a VPN such as Tailscale.

I would recommend that you just use Tailscale for this purpose.
Synology's app store provides a Tailscale app that you can use to connect to it remotely.

You would then just need to install the Tailscale app on your phone or laptop, then start it up to connect remotely to the NAS.

You would now have access to your Synology's GUI where you can make changes and update the containers.
