Hello all I’ve been using Jellyfin for about 3 months now on an old MacBook Pro with my media being stored on a Ubiquiti UNAS Pro and it’s been working flawless other than having to keep the MacBook plugged in 24/7.  This started out as an experiment to replace Plex and I love it.
I currently have a beelink me mini on order and plan on running casaOS or Ubuntu and still use the UNAS Pro for my media storage
Is either platform better than the other?
My main concern is having to setup a new server is there a way to migrate from the MacBook Pro to the Beelink without having to start over?
My other question is I’ve been using Ubiquiti’s WiFi man app with a vpn back to my network so I can stream movies on the go. Is this the best way of doing it?
