Seeing as a lot of Jellyfin is based off of web wrapping, would it be possible for a Disqus comment section to exist under individual films and tv-shows? Currently sites like Aniwave and Anix have both implemented such functionality and I find it an interesting and enjoyable part of the viewing experience.

I don't see why not. But this would only work for web wrapper clients. Native clients like our Roku and Android TV apps wouldn't show any modifications you make to jellyfin-web. You'd also need to configure Jellyfin Media Player to use the server's web client instead of its internal web client.

Keep in mind that each time jellyfin-web is upgraded you would need to re-integrate that functionality.
