    Hi,

I tried to find a simple solution via:
Google: All result talk about admin password reset
Documentation: I might not be a good reader as I did not find a simple explanation
this forum: all result must be outdated as I always get the thread does not exist???

The docker instance of Jellyfin is working fine, but how do you set up users so they are able to reset their password alone, without having to ask the admin???
I as admin do not want to manage this. In all other software, there is a simple way with an email sent to the user so he can do it alone.

I thought I could do it with the webhook plugin, but there is no field to register email for the user. So it it can not work, moreover, It look like you have to set up a webhook for each user, this is a painful.
I saw something about PIN something, but I did not understood it and I think is is not simple to use.
As for now, I have to know the user password witch is stupid. I should not know the password nor should manage the password for users...

Like most web application, is there a way for a user to reset their account password through a token link sent by Jellyfin?

    Thanks
    Pierre

Currently, password resets must involve the admin in the process.

There are 3rd party sites like JFA-Go that can help you offload this burden.
