    Hi fellas,

Another long time Plex user looking to jump ship and try something new. Been a learning curve but slowly getting used to some things, good and bad.. story for another day.
My main issue I'm having is Jellyfin won't automatically rescan the library if Sonarr or Radarr import the media from their respective platforms until the server does a scheduled/manual library refresh.

    My setup:
    Synology NAS which hosts
    Radarr (Docker)
    Sonarr (Docker)
    Media files (Movies, TV Shows)

    Intel NUC hosts
    Jellyfin server (running Win10)

I have a network drive setup on the NUC that points to the correct folders on the NAS. If I do a manual scan, all media shows up and is playable as intended. But if Sonarr or Radarr add the media
which is confirmed to be on the NAS and in the correct folder, Jellyfin just refuses to acknowledge that the media has been added and does not scan and add it.

I did a test and removed an example movie from the folder to my desktop, and readded it manually and Jellyfin picked it up after a few minutes and did what it was supposed to do.
I'm assuming this is a Jellyfin sort of issue as it had no issues working on Plex, all settings were changed to work with Jellyfin, I have real time monitoring set to on as well.

Doing some research, I cannot find a concrete answer on why this isn't working, someone mentioned that network drives won't work with Jellyfin for real time monitoring, is this the correct assumption and answer to my issue?
If not, any tips or help that could help me stop pulling my hair out would be appreciated.

    Cheers

How do you have the network shares mounted? I have mine mounted in fstab with cifs and the realtime monitoring mostly works properly.
    Specifics:
    Jellyfin 10.10.7 (docker) on Debian 12.6 // N100 16GB
    Storage: Synology DS220+ CIFS mounts
Clients: Jellyfin4Kodi (Addon Mode), Android, Android TV, Roku, Symfonium

Via mapping the network drive on the NUC to the folder on the NAS. Same as previously setup on Plex.
