Hey there!
I've been using Jellyfin for a couple years now with little issue, majority of my use comes from the PS4 browser. However, in the last month or so, I'm having trouble with embedded subtitles and alternate audio tracks being recognized when a new movie or TV show is added to my library. My older additions are still good, with the subtitles and audio tracks being recognized. I can get the metadata to load in, but when it comes to subtitles and/or audio tracks, nothing is recognized anymore. I've tried both embedded subtitles (which is preferred, since it keeps the file count low and more organized) and even .SRT files, still no luck. The videos play fine, so the actual file is being recognized, but nothing else.
^^This is how the older videos display. They have the subtitles, codec info and runtime
^^This is a new addition, only metadata pulled from IMDb. Nothing from the actual file pulled, not even a runtime or codec.
I've tried scanning for new and updated files, missing metadata and replacing all metadata
I've triple checked that my library settings are all good. The "disable different types of embedded subtitles" is set to "Allow All"
I've even tried starting from scratch by removing the library entirely and adding everything again. After doing so, now all the videos have no subtitles, even the ones that previously had no trouble
I'm just baffled, since I've had no issue with this until around a month ago. I've upgraded to the latest stable (10.10.7) and even the current beta version (10.11.0) with no luck.
What could this be? Am I missing something simple, or is this deeper?
Thanks in advance!
