I've been using Kodi via CoreELEC on my 10.9.9 server a lot more recently. All subtitle formats play perfectly and render correctly, as long as they're part of the container itself.
Any external subtitle file that's named the same as the movie or movie.title.en.srt shows up in Kodi as a selectable subtitle of the correct language (if .en.srt)
However, in Kodi, the subtitle file in the subtitle selecton on the running stream will only show as something like 'ENG | 4579dfsh78sdghs'.
My best guess is that it's a random filename or hash.
The subtitles never appear on screen. It's confirmed they work in other clients (browser, Android TV, Android).
Is this a known issue?
