Hey, I installed Jellyfin via the setup script on Ubuntu. However the latest update I'm getting is 10.8.13. My smart tv can't connect to this server as it states that the server version is too old.

This is the initial output when I run the setup script:

Found the following details from '/etc/os-release':
     Real OS:            ubuntu
     Repository OS:      ubuntu
     Repository Release: bionic
     CPU Architecture:   amd64

I'm running on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS.

I tried apt update and apt upgrade.

Any idea what might be the issue? Thanks

Jellyfin only supports versions of Ubuntu that are within Canonical's standard LTS window. The standard support window for Bionic ended in 2023.

You need to upgrade to 20.04 and newer. Preferably 22.04 and newer since 20.04 will reach EOL for the standard support window in a few months.

Further, we straight up no longer officially support non-LTS versions of Ubuntu for direct apt/deb package installs.

    I see, thanks, I'll upgrade.
