Both of the logs you uploaded were 4k files. Are you only having this issue with 4k videos?

I'll try 1080p content and see what happens. Most of my content is 4k though for my other TVs so was hoping transcoding would handle this.

I haven't been able to reproduce this problem. Manually created some 2048 pixel wide content and played it on my CCwGTV connected to a 1080P monitor. It scaled the video no problem.

Go to this menu and tell me what the setting is.

In the Jellyfin app on your TV

Settings (Gear in top right) > Playback > scroll down to Advanced playback preferences > What is the Refresh rate switching setting set to?

Could you try disabling HEVC encoding on your server? Go to Dashboard -> Playback -> Transcoding, and uncheck "Allow encoding in HEVC format." After that, test the same 4k file you last posted.

I tried all 3 settings in rate switching and turned off allow hevc. Same result. Confirmed it's only 4k content as 1080p works fine.

Can you post one of the FFmpeg logs from when you turned off hevc?

I think I have a theory about what's happening. If I'm correct, this debug version should fix the issue. Would you be able to test it? You would need to sideload the app onto your TV.

Yes I could try that. Give me a day or 2.
