Hello... there was a link to this guide posted elsewhere here:

    https://linuxaudiofoundation.org/install...-bookworm/

...for installing Kodi as a desktop service on Debian 11/12. Would the commands be the same for Ubuntu 24.04 LTS?   ...Or is it just as well to install Kodi normally in Ubuntu and just config it to start at boot?

And since I probably won't put anything else on the PC but the Jellyfin server and Kodi (dedicated Beelink SR12 Pro), I'm skipping Docker assuming there isn't a downside with the exception of a container being easy to backup/migrate. ?

Finally, at the end of that guide it mentions the Pulse Eight USB-CEC adapter for Kodi (https://www.pulse-eight.com) ... is this still the recommended device? Thanks for your help.

The directions shouldn't be any different for Ubuntu. I can't comment regarding the USB-CEC adapter.
