What's this mean and how can it be fixed? Bonus: Can JF be programmed to not error out stuff like this? Many programs I have used for years never do this kinda stuff.

    On Windows 10

Can you share your jellyfin log via privatebin.net? That error message is not particularly helpful.

The issue is always these damn XML files. Why do they randomly become empty with me having to delete them for the server to start properly? As the server owner, this makes me rip my hair out every time because it isn't something that should happen at all. Like, the server just sits there and does nothing. Nothing changes. But somehow this always happens.

Your XML files are corrupted again. Please remove it as you did before to have it recreated. Is there an issue with power going off on your server or something similar?

Yeah, that's what I said in my reply above. No, not losing power or anything. The mini server PC literally just sits on my shelf and runs.

My main point in all of this is: I shouldn't have to do this. Ever. It should be set and forget, minus forced updates, which also sucks doing since it isn't automatic. I've been thinking of just putting Linux on the server instead of Windows but then I have to re-do allll of the {apps we don't talk about - TDP} stuff that I have setup to auto-get certain shows and whatnot and I have no idea how to do all of that with Linux. I also have no idea if I could simply backup my Jellyfin folders and simply copy them to Linux so that I don't have to do any configuring at all if I did switch OS's. Ugh
