DTS to AAC transcode introduce clipping in varying degrees

Hi there…

Being all new to Jellyfin - exploring a client/server streaming alternative to Kodi using smb shares…

Did some preliminary testing today, and found a movie, which when played back is either clipping horribly, or minimally - but still audible, depending on the playback target (ChromeCast is horrible, FireFox minimal)… in Jellyfin v10.6.4 both CC and FireFox was horrible, in v10.7.0-rc4 FireFox went to minimal but still audible.

Poking around, the original video plays back just fine - the audio stream is DTS 5.1, however ffmpeg transcoded to AAC 5.1 the issue arises, and is present in all media players.

I’m absolute newbie with ffmpeg, but testing transcode-by-hand, reveals both “[matroska] non-monotonous DTS in output stream” as well as “[aac] Queue input is backward in time” warnings from ffmpeg during the transcode…

Anyone by any chance experienced something similar? And if so found a solution for it?
