I had posted this to the reddit forum but no replies there
Just installed JellyFin in a Debian virtual machine running on FreeNas 11.2. Files are accessed over NFS.
It seems to be running great for the most part.
Ran into an issue with a Roku Express playing an MKV file. There is no audio for some reason.
The same file plays fine on my Roku Tv and within Brave
Some details on the file from MediaInfo
Format : Matroska at 818 kb/s
Length : 249 MiB for 42 min 29 s 936 ms
Video #0 : HEVC at 653 kb/s
Aspect : 1920 x 1080 (1.778) at 23.976 fps
Audio #0 : Opus at 162 kb/s
Infos : 6 channels, 48.0 kHz
Text #0 : UTF-8
Other files play fine on the same device, even some other MKVs using different audio.
Format : Matroska at 1 127 kb/s
Length : 688 MiB for 1 h 25 min 22 s 71 ms
Video #0 : AVC at 1 040 kb/s
Aspect : 992 x 558 (1.778) at 23.976 fps
Audio #0 : AAC at 96.0 kb/s

The device is not capable of playing anything but Stereo but I would have expected it to adjust it.
