It just runs and finishes.
Here's the log report generated after I manually run the task.

Good point. I forgot it isn't enabled by default.

Ohhy veyyy, I didn't realize it was necessary to manually enable Trickplay for each library.

Looks like now it's actually scanning my media and generating the Trickplay images.
I'll test once the task finishes.

What CPU/GPU do you have in your system? Try turning off all hardware acceleration for trick play?

As you suggested I disabled hardware accelerated MJPEG encoding in the Trickplay settings and restarted the task, but the error is still happening in the log.

Can you share screenshots of all the settings in Dashboard > Trickplay?
