Movie artwork keeps changing - Raviolli - 2023-12-19

Hello,

I have been facing an issue with Jellyfin where the artwork for many of my movies keep changing unexpectedly.  I can fix it by forcing a rescan and replacing all metadata, including exisiting images, but after a while the artwork will revert to image within the movie folder.

Is there a way to stop Jellyfin from using the local artwork? Or maybe overwrite it?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

They edited their post but, regardless, their question was not about piracy and the applications they mentioned were relevant.

Local metadata always takes precedence by design.  If, for some reason, you aren't able to or don't want to delete the images you can try locking the metadata.  You can do this per show or for the whole library.  For locking metadata per show you click on the "..." context menu and "Edit Metadata".  Near the bottom is a check box to lock the metadata.  For locking the metadata of the whole library you need to use the metadata editor just below the option to go into the dashboard.
