Nowhere in the onboarding documentation, quickstart, installation, or help docs is there a simple, explicit example of how to connect to Jellyfin with a web browser. A simple mention of "http://localhost:8096/" would be enormously helpful to any user wanting to validate their installation without downloading a native client on some device.

Why is this missing? Is it not supposed to be known by users? It seems like the most basic bit of up-front info that anyone would want to see, yet I had to go Google "jellyfin ports" to discover what port the HTTP server was listening on.

Better docs, please! Put this info up front!

The point is not that it exists "somewhere" since this info is buried in several places, like manual installation docs and also the link below. The point is that nowhere in the top level docs that a user who is installing for the first ime is there a clearly documented step that says "now you can access Jellyfin through your web browser at http://localhost:8096" or some equivalent. Just questioning why this isn't easily, clearly visible.

The point is that you said it is nowhere in the docs, when it's actually clearly documented under the post install section, which is exactly where I'd expect to see information on accessing the server I just installed.

Given you had to Google what ports Jellyfin uses, I'm inclined to think you didn't read the post install section of the documentation, because you would've seen them pretty quickly if you did.
