Favicon not updating

I have already replaced the favicon.png and favicon.ico in the web folder, restarted the server, cleared cache. But yet for the love of God cannot make the favicon show up in any browser or device. Please help. Is there any particular dimension both the png and ico need to be. Any guidance on this will be helpful

It sounds like you might be replacing the source files instead of what is produced by the build and distributed when installing Jellyfin (the filenames would be a hashed value not "favicon"). In general I am not interested in providing a detailed guide on how to remove Jellyfin branding though.

Hi. For me, changing the favicon will work after replacing the "bc8d51405ec040305a87.ico" file. When you run F12 in the browser, in the html code you should have the name of the favicon file you are using
