Ok so, I actually tried something out and got some new information that hones in on where the trouble is. On my phone, if I switch the client settings in the app to use the Web player instead of the intergrated player, it experiences the same issue.
I imagine the jellyfin media player app also uses the same web player, and the browsers on my computer certainly do. This leads me to believe there is some issue with the default the web player in my server; granted I'm not sure what could be going on to cause the issue with it or if it could lead to a solution for my desktop issues?

Bumping thread sense it's been over 7 days as per rules, and added a new description to title with the web player information as hopefully someone else has had similar issues with it and can help.
Also reporting have tried 10.9.9 to no avail.

Since this seems to be some sort of jellyfin-web problem, go ahead and submit a github issue.
