Is it possible to use the name film.trickplay generated by another client?
I have a folder in the movie folder (Brothers (2024) [tmdbid-616446]) (Brothers (2024) [tmdbid-616446].trickplay) when I specify it the movie folder for the new jf (docker).  There is no trickplay when playing the movie.

On the program that generated it, trickplay is shown when watching a movie.

You need to enable the option to save trickplay images next to the media on the original server. On the new server, enable trickplay for the library and also configure it to save trickplay images next to the media.

    I did as you wrote.
The source server saves the image in the movie folder. Trickplay and image saving are enabled on the new server. I scanned the library again. It didn't help that there are no images when viewing.

I missed a step. On the new server you also need to enable the option Extract trickplay images during the library scan in the library or run the Generate trickplay images task from the dashboard scheduled tasks manually.

It didn't help. I've tried running several different clients (docker and linux). It's very strange. It's actually a folder with pictures. There is no such problem with music theme files or video themes.

By the way, some kind of file is used for these pictures that tells the player which images to show for each time. Or does the player only understand what to display based on the image format?

Trickplays are saved as a simple collage of screenshots throughout intervals of the video. They're stored as numbered jpg files at the end.

Then I don't understand at all why the new instance of jf doesn't want to accept image files and use them.

I just retested this on 10.10.3, and it works as described.

    Some notes:
It didn't immediately populate after I enabled the library settings (save next to media and enable trickplay) on the new server. I had to manually run the scheduled task to generate the files. Even then, it took about 30 minutes to generate trickplays for some new files that hadn’t been processed on the original server.

I understand it correctly. Are you using trickplay images created by another server? When starting from the scheduler, are no new files created? Are the old ones being used?

    Server A (original) generates trickplays.
Server B (new) utilizes the trickplays from Server A (it doesn't recreate them). However, there are new files that Server A didn't get a chance to make trickplays for yet, so Server B creates trickplays for these new files when the scheduled task runs.
