P.S. I disabled the experimental pgs option and the subtitles rendered just fine. it's the experimental pgs issue for sure, is there a way I can enable any kind of logging to figure out what's happening? jellyfin doesn't log anything for experimental subs, and since I am on TV, I can't check the dev console like on a browser

You can comment on this thread, where the PGS rendering capability was first discussed.
https://forum.jellyfin.org/t-native-pgs-support Don't expect a fix though. Since it is experimental and still in development. I also had not great experiences with experimental PGS rendering. Lots of desync in my case.
