if ffmpeg were missing there would be no ffmpeg log instead of a log from ffmpeg stating it couldn't open the video device
if ffmpeg were missing in ubuntu it would be apt install jellyfin-ffmpeg5 not download from github (same in or out of docker)
and linux doesn't use .exe
I don't know you nor your level of knowledge, but I do know my own level of knowledge on this subject, which is why I know I'm least likely to be right 😅 no need to feel attacked by my choice of words
I guess that means that in my own case, ffmpeg.exe was still there but had been corrupted somehow, because I was still getting ffmpeg errors when playing my content.
