Hi everyone, I'm using the Eversolo Play as a client with their (beta) Jellyfin client. Searching and Playback is fine. When browsing albums and albums under artists names I see the album artwork as expected. However, when browsing individual album tracks I only see about 10% of the album art images I would normally see on the desktop client. Most of the time whole albums do not show the album art on any track, only the top level album view.
I've done some experimentation to try and find where the issue lies and I have a partial solution.
External album art files like folder.jpg, cover.jpg, poster.jpg etc. appear to only be used on the Eversolo when viewing the album as a whole, when viewing individual tracks the panel shows a grey (no artwork found?) graphic instead. I've tried several tag management apps and various file naming schemes and nothing seems to work. I then took a look at one of the files that did work and I have a theory that these files were set up using the metadata and image editing features within Jellyfin. (On the desktop) manually choosing a track, clicking on the three dots at the right side and then Edit Images allows me to choose a graphic file and (I presume) link this to the music file. this works and shows the album art correctly, but only for that one track. Scanning these files with BeeMusic shows that they has a MIME type and also a cover type tag of PICTURE, a type/tag not available in any of the tag management applications I've used. Also, as the MP3/FLAC files appear to remain untouched this is clearly a linking change, maybe via the database? Is there a way that I can update things so that all the folders use the artwork correctly - it will be a tedious job to have to do this for each track individually. I've tried using the refresh metadata side-menu options and they screw up the other metadata for some albums so it would be good to do this outside of that method if possible.
Thanks for any help or insight you may be able to provide.
