    [SOLVED] Is there a way to pre-transcode? or save bandwidth a cpu time in jelly fin?

    I have a slow cpu and not much bandwidth how can I make jellyfin usable

    Yes, just about all clients support x264 encoding; and if you're looking for lower quality then you can generate x364 720p, 480p, etc. files through handbrake/ffmpeg/etc. that will stream without encoding at the cost of lower quality and more disk usage. No matter what if you'll most liekly have a fairly low quality/bandwidth if over wifi so you may have to check on that. There should be notes in the log files on why the file(s) are transcoding that you can check and attempt to address.
