I believe embedded art work will show up when the song is playing. But album and artist artwork have to be in the folders as folder.jpg
It would not be very efficient to scan the media files for each of the album art work to be displayed in the album folders. Then there's also the possibility of conflicting artwork in the audio files and which to pick from if so.
