I was having intermittent issues with Jellyfin Media Player when it played HEVC codec and it tends to happen after using the player for a while. I googled the issue, but couldn't find anyone with the same issue.
After a month, i finally stumbled onto something that may have actually worked. https://github.com/jellyfin/jellyfin-med...e-Decoding I disabled the hardware-decoding and haven't had a freeze up for a day. When it freezes, the player stops responding and closing the player does not close out the jellyfinmediaplayer.exe process.
I don't believe many people have this issue but this was killing me and hopefully share something that might help someone else.
