I recently migrated from Plex to Jellyfin, and overall I'm really impressed and wish I'd made the switch a long time ago. One major issue I encountered however relates to how multiple version of the same show or movie are handled.
I was familiar with Plex's method where the movie/show would only appear once and the most suitable quality/bitrate would play based on the client. Plex also had a method to pre-transcode multiple versions at other bitrates when desired.
Is it possible to accomplish this with Jellyfin? For now I see multiple instances of the same content without a very obviousway to tell the difference between them. Does anyone know if a plugin or setting that would automatically recognize that the content is the same based on metadata and show them as a single entry in the library? It is a bit of an annoyance to have the same movie several times in the library.
