Jellyfin only encodes to H264, HEVC, and AV1. So not having encoding support for those doesn't matter. And I can't think of a non-Jellyfin situation where you'd want/need to encode to MPEG2 or VC-1 in 2024 anyway. Even with CPU encoding, because of how simple those codecs are it would still encode on a modern CPU very quickly.
