I'm trying to figure out how to tell if the bif files are being converted. When I click the, "convert your already generated .BIF files to native format" it doesn't seem to do anything. If I click it again it gives me a message that says, "[!] Already busy running a task."
For a little while, the server hangs, which makes me think it's doing something, but then i check in the /config/metadata/library folder (and subfolders) and don't find any trickplay files in there.
I've been poking around the forums trying to see if anyone else is having the same issue I'm having but haven't found anything (granted my google-fu and search ability are rusty at best, so it may be there, I'm just not finding it).
Server version 10.9.6, fresh install, as far as I can tell trickplay is enabled on all libraries (the boxes are checked), and trickplay settings are configured.
I did find that trickplay was getting an error when trying to run the schedule task (just to verify trickplay was attempting to do something on its own), but the suggestion in this thread of disabling hardware transcode fixed that; the trickplay files were being generated in a /config/cache/temp folder, and I didn't wait to see if they were eventually moved to the metadata folder. This seems unrelated to bif file conversion issue I'm having, but I thought it might be worth a mention.
