I guess my pre-coffee question was a little inarticulate. I realize different app platforms have different app interfaces (UI). I just meant why would we have audio/caption selection available pre-play on phones and tablets and not on available on the TV app?
The TV app is what many would be using in a home theatre setting. Sometimes I've had files with the wrong audio default setting. In the Android TV app, I have to start playing the movie, realize the audio track is wrong, pause, and select the right one from the audio selection in the player. Which, as I said, sort of puts a speed bump in the family settling in, popcorn ready, movie night experience. I'm just wondering why the choice was made to not be able to choose the audio/captions before play in the TV app.
Is this a question I should post in the Android TV development subforum?
