I have this issue, but all I have to do is reload the subtitles a couple times. Usually on the second or third attempt I will change the subtitles back to "off" (after the "failed to load" error leaving them in the "on" position), then I will put them back on again and they will work as normal.
My wild, inexperienced guess is that the backend needs time to burn in the subtitles, and the first one or two fails are the subs not yet being ready as the process is queued and than executed.
This is not at all a deal breaker, it takes a couple seconds of tinkering and then works perfectly.
@vdscsdc stop being an arse. Insulting someone who doesn't owe you anything and then acting like it was sarcastic doesn't make you less insulting. In fact, it makes you look like more of an arsehole because you can't swallow your ego and apologise. Shitting on the devs won't make them work faster, it will just burn them out.
