Something else is wrong here. I've also tested re-tagging the Disc # and Total Discs in JRiver Media Center and Mp3Tag. Nothing makes any difference. JellyFin duplicates every multi-disc because I use sub-folders.
So far i've tested by adding the following tags:
TOTALDISCS
TOTAL DISCS
DISCTOTAL
JellyFin can see the Disc # tags fine. The minute I move all the tracks into one folder it displays correctly as one album.
Why the heck is a sub-folder causing JF to ignore the tags?? This is poor design imo. This is a bug that needs fixing.
Hello,
I configure to store the nfo file in the folder when I created the library.
I have next (similar) structure,
Strings (Main folder)
- Sonatas (Partially disc 1)
- allegros (Partially disc 1)
- camara (Partially disc 2)
- xxxx (Partially disc 2)
Missas (Main folder)
- Missa 1 (Partially disc 1)
- Missa 2 (Partially disc 1)
- Missa 3 (disc 2)
- Missa 4 (Partially disc 3)
- Missa 5 (Partially disc 3)
The strings are showed as an individual folder with all discs in it correctly.
The missas are wrong, each folder with only with the files in it.
I found that in the string folder is the folder.nfo file with all information of the files from the subfolders, and the Missas folder does not have the folder nfo, that file is in each subfolder only the tracks in it.
I think that is the problem, I dont know yet how to fix that, I think the correct way to do it is delete the nfo files in the subfolder and hope it fix with a rescan o something, or we need to open de DB file in the server and try to find out the structure of the tables and update form there.
let you know.
