Howdy TxHammer from H-Town, long time movie collector, took a few years off, like a decade since streaming took off, but now back, hls streaming sites are cool!
Just found you guys, wow we have a come long way since xmbc/kodi. Jellyfin is a professional movie library app. great job! 5 stars, this app blows me away at the level of detail!
i just got a new tv for xmas and decided to give jellyfin a try. I tried kodi recently, but it would not work on my low end android tv, but jellyfin is great, not stuttering, or laggin ui, videos play great!
Before i used to use a mini pc connected to the hdtv with a wireless keyboard to play my videos, old school before smart tv's, I even built an app called blueboxx media, its no jellyfin but it did the job for me.  It's nice to browse media collection w/ a remote instead of a kb.

Still getting the feel for jellyfin, here a few suggestions i would like to see
* Random movie collection on home screen
* New releases, not just recently added, show year released not date added to library, make as option in settings

An idea for jellyfin lite - plug in external usb media drive to back of hdtv, use jellyfin lite to read and index media/metadata
none of the extra features of jellyfin server just a metadata library ui to serve the media files...
