As far as I'm aware, Jellyfin Media Player (JMP) currently does not support HDR playback unless it tone mapping the HDR video stream to SDR. Hence, HDR viewing is often recommended via the MPC Shim. Why is JMP incapable of native HDR playback? Is there a chance JMP might be updated at some point to support said HDR playback? Just feels inconvenient to switch between two players (it is, however, quick and easy) depending on the content you're trying to view.
