Edited: I do miss the ease of q/a from reddit vs a typical forum. Plus the agility on mobile devices

And possibly most importantly, we own that roof and the rest of the house. No one is able to pull the rug out from under us in an attempt to raise their profits.

that's fair and i accept that 200% control over your own infra is the core of our "selfhosted" world.
