Jellyfin allows you to have multiple versions of a movie, which is automatically triggered based on a specific naming scheme. This behavior works independently of any plugins. The naming format must follow a particular structure: the movie name should be identical to the folder name, followed by a dash (-), and then any additional text. For example:
Movie (2000)
--Movie (2000) - Best Movie Ever
--Movie (2000) - Best Movie Ever Really Long Version
You have found an exception where using square brackets [] instead of a dash also triggers this feature. To avoid triggering the multiple versions feature, simply remove the brackets or replace them with parentheses () and the movies will no longer be treated as multiple versions.
