Trouble playing local trailers in Kodi

Not entierly certain what process you are following but I came to JF from Kodi, which is still my main client, and have manually currated my entire library. If you want 1 trailer per entry, let's use a movie, you can put that trailer in the same folder as the movie, NFO and art, just names "Movie NameHere"-trailer.xxx. Then the metadat will automatically scrape THAT trailer as the "link" for that perticular movie and you can then go back to Kodi as a JF client and if the skin you are using supports trailer, boom it plays.

If you want additional trailers I just use the Extras folder which works pushed forward to Kodi but only in Native (direct path) mode. Haven't seen a work-around for that but in Jellyfin itself that folder will be seen and the contents playable. It's how I've done my setup and it works pretty well.

If you are wanting trailrs for TB shows that's a seperate thing and likely more related to the Kodi skin implementation for TV Shows rather than a JF issue. I don't have a trailer button for TV shows in my custom Kodi skin, specifically, and any trailers I do have for TV shows just go into an Extras folder for that specific show.
