I'm currently hosting my first Jellyfin server in Windows on my laptop, a 2022 Asus Zephyrus G14 with AMD CPU and GPU. I plan to start proper home server and NAS, but I won't be able to start that project for several months. Until then, I'd like to move to Linux so I use some actual hardware decoding. Is dual-booting Linux and hosting Jellyfin there the only way I'll be able to fully utilize my GPU on this machine, or are there virtualization options that will work with VA-API?
