Jellyfin on Roku 3.0.0 released

Signed up just to say thanks for the new version 3.0. It looks great, and works great on my up-to-date server. It resolved a few annoying bugs I had been experiencing since 2.3.0/2.3.1 with images not displaying and feels faster.

I have had to sideload the Roku app before in the past to avoid bugs, it's not that difficult, and should get anyone with issues due to an old server back on their feet.

Can you explain what side loading the Roku app means? Is there a way of getting my Roku app working again without having to update my Jellyfin server? I am maxed out on the Jellyfin build that my computer will support and cant just go out and buy a new computer. Everything was working perfectly fine for my purposes yesterday and now its not.
