Chromecast playback issues

In your first log, if you are foregoing accelerated encoding, you should also disable accelerated decoding as well. Either by selecting "none" from the drop down or by unchecking all the codec boxes.

For your second log, one thing I, and other users, noticed was that "dumb" Chromecasts for whatever reason won't do more than 720P even though the hardware in the Chromecast supports it. And your video is 1080P.
