I did find a workaround, sort of. I used MediaElch to scrape the metadata for the movies. A bit laboriously, I had to edit the "Name" field for each film and remove the year. I got into a rhythm, it went fairly quickly. Then after the metadata was downloaded and saved, I went back to Jellyfin and refreshed the metadata and the movies appeared. I then deleted the NFO files that MediaElch created.
