It was a loose folder named "Other" of about 200 assorted videos from YouTube, my camera, or random websites. "Home Videos and Photos" type, for lack of need for metadata plugins. I suppose those could be disabled, but I didn't see a more relevant content category. I don't see any info on naming or folder schemes for that content type in the docs.
The mixed movies and shows type is supposedly deprecated.

Many simply do not show up. I moved 44 to a separate new library, 3 do not show. Of the remaining 159 videos, only 152 show up. It's always YouTube videos causing this issue. Everything else has been a-ok.

I have tried renaming "hidden" videos. Videos with the same naming scheme will show up. Other videos from the same channel, day, etc. will show up.
Re-encoding videos with handbrake, and removing or altering their metadata doesn't appear to achieve anything. If they don't show, they don't show.
Sometimes I will find an identical copy of said video from another channel, with the exact same name and it will mysteriously appear in the library. Sometimes not.
Today I tried the "same" video in both mp4 and webm formats from three different sources with several different naming schemes to no avail. Every copy of the downloaded video had no playback issues whatsoever in VLC.

What media type would you suggest for assorted videos in JF? Surely it is not all that uncommon to use it for things other than TV/Movies.

I don't believe my drives are the issue, as I have moved the folder from network storage, across three drives on my main computer already.

If it helps I could create a new library for a random problem file, and provide logs, if there are logs for scanning libraries. I wouldn't know where to look, however.

If you like, I could test the files on another installation of JF server, even on a fresh OS installation. I hope it doesn't come to that.

Presently I have two copies of this free game trailer, in two separate home video libraries, with zero search results for their filename in Jellyfin.

Sorry I've edited this message a lot so it may contain some repetition. I am very confused, but eager to learn.
