Random videos won't scan into library

If it helps I could create a new library for a random problem file, and provide logs, if there are logs for scanning libraries. I wouldn't know where to look, however.

Throw all of 'em in a library if you can. You can use any library type, but need to follow conventions if choosing a library with requirements. Movies is a surefire one that should pick up every loose file. You have to remember you cannot mix your organization styles, though. All loose or all with a folder containing each separate media file.
