However, I'm not sure we're actually talking about the same idea. I don't see how this should conflict with Terms of Service, as other services have implemented this already. It's basically just like fancy spreadsheet, that keeps track of the movie and tv-show purchases a user has made across different services. It's not actually hosting or playing any 3rd party content in Jellyfin or touching the DRM of those streams.
Could you maybe bring this topic up again with the devs? I've noticed over the last couple of years, that it's somewhat difficult to get this feature request across. Many people immediately assume that we want to host or play the DRM-protected inside of Jellyfin, which is NOT what the feature request is about.
Just look at this workaround by a Plex user to see to what length users have to go to:
