Hi bitmap,
TYVM for your reply.
I just discovered jelly-fin media player, installed it and now I am doing direct play @40 Mbps of that very same movie and it is not stuttering and looks absolutely gorgeous. I click anywhere on the time line and the transition to that time line is instant.
Perhaps the equipment is fine and the actual issue was the Firefox web browser?
I am unsure.
I did notice that when using the Jelly-Fin Media client it states that the player is mpvplayer and the bitrate set to auto-I changed that to the highest in the list (40Mbps) and it remains just fine.
I believe it was an issue within Firefox and not, as you say, the equipment.
As a matter of fact I have that same video streaming in VLC and Jelly fin on the same desktop at the same time AND I have another movie streaming in the Firefox web browser and all of them are playing back just fine. No stuttering or buffering at al on any of them.
So, I believe the equipment is just fine to stream in 4K HDR10+ or whatever.
Thanks again for your reply though. Any help is always appreciated and welcome.
