SOLVED: certain movies won't add to collection

The lock/unlock trick only sometimes works for me. An alternative solution that has worked every time for me is making a change to the file or directory name. E.g. I added the tmdb-id to the folder and file names:

MovieName (Year) [tmdbid-#####]

Then after a rescan I could add it to a collection. This also fixed the issue of duplicate entries for multiple versions after grouping them.
