Linux Mint 22.2 on Threadripper 3990X w/ 256GB RAM
mergerfs w/ ext4 as the underlying filesystem
To prevent 'Database is locked' errors after upgrading, I followed the advice of the Troubleshooting page. Restricting the parallel scan task limit to half of my cores did not fix it. Setting locking mode to optimistic did. I'm currently operational, and have not tried removing the parallel scan task limit.
I had a number of issues with the music library. It seemed that no matter what I tried, Jellyfin for Kodi would hang during the music import after the initial artist scan, so I had to remove the source on the server, add the Music library while it was empty in Jellyfin for Kodi, and then re-add the music source on the server. The import process is much slower than in previous versions. If anyone knows how to easily reset the date added fields to the file creation date, please let me know.
If my primary Jellyfin for Kodi instance continues to work well enough once it finishes syncing, I'm probably just going to leave things as is since I also spent an enormous amount of time fixing metadata after the upgrade. Hopefully we'll get some fixes soon.
