Is this new functionality since 10.11?

I'm pretty sure I used to have NFO Savers switched on for my local NFOs.
Because I edited them and things like date added and poster information updated to them. Now if I switch it off, this information doesnt update, but if I switch it on and scan library it destroys them all.

Why is the library scan to check for new updates changing all the NFOs?

EDIT: This bug was closed by a fix - but seems to be the issue I am experiencing
