Definitely this. I mount my 3 hard drives to /media/<arbitrary_name>. Just don't mount them to your home directory.
i actually like /storage/ but it's all preference, anyone without a preference i just recommend a normal /mnt/ so it's uniform - not even sure this is uniform any longer but it "used to be"
indeed <arbitrary_name> but for mine i actually use drive identifiers so i know which bay they are located in (coupled with a label maker it makes finding them easy
