Hey,
I'm building a home server and looking into buying a used mini-PC, and was wondering which CPU to buy.
I can either have a Ryzen 3 Pro 3200GE or an Intel i3-9100T for about the same price.
According to some benchmark, the 3200GE is about 20% more powerful than the 9100T for the same TDP, and the iGPU is also about 15% more powerful.
I plan on hosting a Jellyfin, and some other service such as a Minecraft server for a few people, and might go the AMD route for the better performance, but saw on some post that AMD's APU is worse then Intel's QuickSync and has worst linux support.
Is this still true in 2024? And even if it's still true, as I plan to online transcode around 3-4 1080p flux max (maybe some 1440p but no 4k and no HDR), would the 3200GE be enough or should I go the Intel route ? Or is there any other reason to go the Intel route?
Thanks !
